Late 19th-century. Standard pattern with 33” broad fullered single edged blade, finely decorated half its length with scrolling foliage and military trophies. The ricasso with the Z in shield mark of Clemen & Jung of Solingen. Brass hilt with double raised edge shell guards, the left folding with dark patina. Wire wrapped grip, sound and tight. The blade with scattered minor smooth black staining, heavier at the extreme tip as shown.
