Late 19th-century. Standard pattern. Brass hilt with double raised edge shell guards, the left, folding and bearing fine cursive owner's name (light wear). Fine brass wire wrapped grip, sound and tight.  31 ¾” blade decorated with foliage and military arms first half, excellent. The ricasso with makers mark of EWALD CLEFF SOLINGEN.
