PHILIPPINE SHORT SWORD.

$90.00
WWII GI souvenir. 12 ½” forged iron blade from an earlier sword remounted for use here. The surface with forged finish and tool marks. Wood scabbard hand hilt of traditional form. The scabbard incised Democracy in Old English letters. An “American Indian arrow” ahead. Age soiled and discolored. ½” shallow notch to the underside toward the point. A good example of these, often given to soldiers in thanks for liberation from the Japanese. Superior quality example.
