Male and female. 9" height, carved with the arms away from the body and the feet as a disk with the toes delineated. The heads of distinctive triangular form from which their village of origin should be identifiable. Each with age cracks as expected as these were carved of unseasoned wood. The Yoruba were preyed upon by the slave trade. Ex: Christie's London, October 1986 and in our own collection since. Pair.
