PAIR OF AMERICAN FOLK ART DAGGERS

$165.00

Carved wood, 9 3/4" and 11 3/4" respectively representing the two forms of fighting knives, the large single edged Bowie and the double edged spear point Arkansas Toothpick. Each with three chain links from the butt, carved integrally interlocked. Quite naively done and painted at one time, now mostly worn off suggesting that they were used for something. Their character is strongly suggestive of a carnival or medicine show presentation. Both show genuine aging and we can only guess at their dates-probably pre WWI or earlier. Pair.
