Late 18th century. 18 1/2” length with 11 5/8” barrel faceted at the breach and decorated with foliage. Sighting top flat with blade front sight. Brass sheathed tang with foliage and double Islamic cipher, probably the owner’s name. Rounded European lock with stepped tail and flat side cock, both finely engraved in scrolling foliage. The lock appears complete with the mainspring slipped off the tumbler. Walnut full stock with good European form brass furniture and fine silver back escutcheon. Splinters to both sides at the muzzle and a few other blemishes. Well used with uniform wear.
