10” round barrel with flared muzzle. The breech struck with a maker’s mark. Silver decoration in two stages of stylized foliage.  Walnut full stock deeply carved overall in scrolling motifs, star and crescent, with foliage and wheel of fortune to the butt both sides. Silver scrolling foliage, leaves and piques inlaid to the butt. Brass side plate and engraved steel trigger guard.  Fine flat side flint lock with foliate decoration and inlaid maker’s mark. Earlier than most of these and showing smooth wear with some loss to the wire inlay of the butt. Great age character.
