19th century. North Africa, Morocco, made in imitation of the European pressed copper flasks of the period. 7 7/8” height. The face is beautifully contoured and engraved in a triple step section. Thick sides provide the additional capacity required of lower grade Ottoman gun powder. Elegant mounts for the suspension rings. The back of copper decorated in saw tooth line work. Minor bruises and some solder showing on the seams. Nice quality.
