18th century. Unusual form and excellent quality. 5 1/2" tapered wedge section blade with broad fuller each side and banded bolster. The hilt with expanded butt in the Turkish and Greek taste. Two piece bone side scales, encased by the tang at the pommel and overlapping it for the balance. Blade with light age texture. Hilt excellent for the period. Rare form and early.
