Good old precolonial example with 8 ¾” tool finished blade. Shaped wood hilt with engraved silver  mounts including pommel crest and base mount. Repousse brass scabbard, the face with engraved sheet silver mounts. Side lugs with suspension rings. Shows use. One end of the grip base flare slightly splintered. Good age character and dating to the 19th century (probably mid) before colonial ambitions.
