17th-18th century. 25 5/8” length. Cane shaft with inset wood nock with intricately painted segment below. Some of the decoration surviving. Slender, well modeled point with triangular veins on conical socket. Mixed metal banding below and original securing wire wrap. With limited armor piercing capability, these were used primarily on lightly protected infantry and civilians who were slaughtered during and after sieges and battles.
