Small white hard stone (chalcedony) effigies of an abstract formed female. From a small group comprising part of a necklace. Each about ½” high and dating 500 BC-100 AD. Each would have taken days to fashion. The Mezcala lived in isolation, practiced human sacrifice, and are best known for their fine abstract stone art. Mounted with a modern silver ring for suspension. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
