12th-13th century, Northern Europe showing Eastern influence. See Nicole 810c. 4 3/8” length. Well forged with butted  seam conical socket and tapered bolster to the sharply barbed diamond section point. Approximating the bodkin arrow and evidently intended to pierce mail armor without the prospect of removal. This example very well preserved with minimal age deterioration, probably owing to dry climatic conditions of burial. Unique in the collection and our 55 year experience.
