Brass, made in two pieces. 2 ¼” (2.20”) height of clove form with a loop at the bottom for suspending a bell or jingle. The top with separately riveted back hook for attaching to the reins or other harness. Remnants of the harness between the hook and body. Knights and nobility used elaborate harness decoration for recognition and to make noise, clearing the way ahead.
