Gilt bronze size 8 ¼ with 3.2mm rounded face band flaring to the reeded shoulders. Rounded square bezel with a central cross on radials.  Dating to the beginning of the Dark Ages after the Fall of Rome in the 5th century. Christianity was practiced along with paganism until 800 when Charlemagne directed that all men should convert to Christianity under penalty of death. This ring predates that edict. Surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity. Fine wearable example.
