Early 19th century. Wood hilt with scalloped expanded terminal and black horn base ring. 7 1/4" s.e. wedge section blade with slightly recurved clipped point blade. Wood scabbard with contoured throat incised with scrolling foliage and dark wood base mount. Scabbard lightly encrusted from handling and shows's few worm holes and tracks. Hilt exc. Blade shows gray patina with mixed rust speckles, negligible for the period.
