Undoubtedly from Ethiopia with thick 7 1/2" d.e. blade of expanded medial form characteristic of that region. One piece tapered horn grip with domed brass pommel cap, probably from a coin and oval horn guard laminated with sheet brass. Hide covered scabbard decorated with bands comprised of double rows of incised dots. The face pigmented red. Aging as expected throughout but complete and no damage. The blade with some isolated black pitting to the tip and small island one side. Curious combination of traditional form with Western design.
