From a disciple of the Mahdi. Hilt and scabbard decoration of large trade beads with more complex decoration and identical age character. Treatment to the beaded edge of the scabbard throat. 7 1/4" blade etched overall with characteristic Thuluth calligraphy. Both sides matching, some wear with light surface staining only.
