Gilt bronze. Just over 3/4" height. Low rounded section and elegant cusped form. Foliate trefoil and triple dot decoration, probably of astrological significance. Made by the open face mold technique. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored on a gilt neck chain for modern wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
