Edo Period, C.1750-1800. 39 7/8” length. Cane shaft with horn nock. Sparrow bill, tsube me guchi form point. Brown goose fletching in excellent preservation with the cardinal flight a little tattered. The fletch area lacquered cream. Fine gold silk wrap to the ends. Well preserved example of a war arrow made to penetrate samurai armor. One of two matching from a set.
