Probably Caughley. 8 5/8" diameter, 3 7/8" height. On raised foot. Hand painted with a line bordered band of serpentine laurel behind gathered drapes with border of crescents below. The pattern to inner and outer edges. Additional central motif of a radial foliage splay. Minor imperfections to the glaze and decoration as typically encountered. Two light yellow stains within. Bowls of this size are only very rarely encountered and more rarely undamaged as with this example.
