Second half of the 19th century. Ex: Baptist Missionary Society Collection.  Classic form (Fischer #318-19) with 10 1/4" broad fullered blade. Wood hilt with exceptionally large disk pommel set with tacks for ¾ its perimeter (three missings). Elegantly formed wood grip with single age crack from tang oxidation and fine glossy patina. The blade crisp with original tool marks and forging evidence. Swords of this size were used for clandestine house raids.
