Chained knuckle guard and black japanned grip mounted with a red enameled cross. 28” double edged blade decorated with foliage, Masonic motifs, owner’s name and retailer’s name, J R PETTIS & CO TROY NY to the ricasso, bright and crisp. Fine plated scabbard with high relief enameled mounts. Excellent early example.
