Plated hilt with chain guard and amber composition grip, made popular about 1900. 25 7/8” d.e. blade decorated with crusades scene, owner’s name, Memento  Mori (Death’s Head) and masonic motifs. The forte with retailer’s name, The IHLING BROS EVERARD CO. KALAMAZOO MICHIGAN, established 1869. Crisp, and bright with the gold ground mostly intact. Plated iron scabbard with three mounts, the top with red enamel crosses (one with partial enamel loss).
