Japanese Menuki


Edo period, before 1867. Ornaments bound into the hilt wrap of samurai swords to cover the securing peg holes. Matched pair in copper. Each as an eggplant with its foliage over another, smaller. Each 1 3/8" length. Excellent with good patina. Pair.
