Meiji Period for soup or rice. C.1900-10. 4 5/8" diameter, both of rounded from with flared foot and grip. Tomato red body color throughout. The top decorated in stylized flowers and tendrils of gold and silver. One flower of natural abalone flakes. All gold decoration is true gold in a lacquer matrix. Produced by the true lacquer (not paint) process which takes months of layering and drying. Additional details to the purchaser. Excellent and bright.
