4 8” diameter. The bowl and top of turned wood lacquered overall in deep orange with gold rims. The lid is decorated with foliage in gold, produced by cutting through the surface to a layer of gold pigment underneath. That requires great skill to not penetrate to the wood core and there is no remedy for mistakes. Minor flaking to the edges as typical.
