14 1/2" straight d.e. blade of linear pattern, probably meteor iron. Primarily uniform linear pattern with a few more prominent linear paths representing lamination. Beaded edge brass mendak. Near cylindrical form hilt with deeply diced grip and cap form top incised in large diamond pattern. The center with plug of the same material, appears to be ivory, perhaps swamp ivory, with medium color, but no capillary sites as found on bone. Dark patina with minor damage to the grip and top. Blade well textured with a little light old stable surface storage oxidation.
