ITALIAN WOMAN’S PENDANT, C.1350-1500 AD

$190.00

Gilt bronze, just over 1/2” (0.55”) in total height. An armorial device, shield shaped with medial ridge. The sides with four spheres. Those are references to the Medici family of Florence who incorporated five spheres, later circles on their arms. The implication here is that this is the armorial pendant of a Florentine woman of noble birth. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and suspended from an 18” modern gilt sterling silver neck chain. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
