Persia, Kashan. Fine example of iconic form. Kashan known as the city of beauty, was leveled by earthquake in 1778 causing the burial of many artifacts. It is believed by some accounts to be the origin of the three wise men.  2 5/8” height with flared lip bun shaped bowl on dish bane with strap handle and open channel spout. The surface with iridescent turquoise glaze, iconic to Islamic ceramics of the period. Skillfully crafted and fine preservation.
