19th century. Profusely decorated in gold and silver koftgari including eight gold inscription panels which may identify the owner and date. The silver surrounds of stylized foliage and near complete with a little wear, mostly at the bale base. 9 ¾” five wave blade with light tool finish. The scabbard with original blue velvet covering between the mounts. Good example of flamboyant form in excellent preservation.
