INDOPERSIAN INFANTRY SPEAR, C.1750-1825

$445.00

Dating to the period of pre colonial unity and subcontinental wars backed by England and France. Finely forged iron head with medially ridged tapered point. Tapered socket with 5 double bands joining the point with a sandwiched junction in the Persian taste. The whole skillfully made in one piece and of substantial weight as opposed to the decorated examples often seen. 74 ¼” total length on its red colored wood haft which shows significant wear and use. The color is probably a regimental designation which assists in field commanding.
