Iron hilt of Udaipur form with peaked medial grip, dished pommel and straight flared tip quillons.  See Indian Arms and Armour, Pant, Vil I #305. 30 ¾” slightly curved single edged blade. Shows age and use with frosty oxidation to the blade revealing lineal pattern welded graining. Udaipur is in Rajasthan where Shah Jahan and his son Aurangzeb expanded the Moghul empire through military conquests.
