Iron hilt of Purbi form. See Indian Arms and Armor, Pant, Vol II #298. These swords were produced in Bihar, Awadh and related eastern India areas. Iron hilt with recurved knuckle bow and scalloped terminal quillons. The right side struck with arsenal markings N B A 1728. 32” curved triple fullered blade with long false edge, struck with three lines of X’s to the right side. Dating to the period of British and French colonization and city state wars.
