Form distinctively identifiable to that period. Iron with double eye terminals and single remaining buckle. The sides ridged, transitioning to bordered flat with intricate ADdorsed scalloped/curved members at the transition. Top with delicate scrolled crest. 2 1/4" shank with six point rowel. Shank length as used prior to fully evolved horse armor and dating this example to that period. Detail well preserved with minimal oxidation for the period. Ex.
