Earliest form of the classic type, before horse armor necessitated the elongated back shank to reach under the flank armor. Deeply angled sides with three of four original buckles remaining and vestigial back crest. Short shank with six point rowel (frozen, two points rusted short). Excavated with a few erosion spots but near all original surface intact.
