15th-16th century AD. See ancient Rings, Pollio, p.126 for two similar examples. Size 7 with 3.6mm band flaring to the shoulders. Raise lenticular bezel engraved with a bird. The bird motif, popular since the Byzantine Empire, is generally thought to represent an eagle, a symbol which later, became iconic to many European royal dynasties. Professionally refurbished with the silver surface restored. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
