15 5/8” blade with flat back. The front slab sided with broad beveled edge and banded tapered forte. Faceted ferrule and well carved wood hilt with crested lobed pommel. The front of the grip well carved with basket weave panels. Good old example with gray patina and light tool finish to the blade. Hilt with minor wear on fine deep patina with the carving detail well preserved. Probably collected during the Spanish-American War.
