Standard pattern for the Mauser m98 rifle. Saw back blade (field sharpened) by C DEITRICH ALTENBURG/GEBR. HARTKOPF SOLINGEN. The back with crowned 3 mark. Scabbard with shallow dents. Descended from a soldier of the 42nd Rainbow Division who fought in France and Germany and accompanied by a family letter.
