Custom made long bow, by Fred Kibbe, Wolverine Archery, Coldwater Michigan.  69 ½” length of elegant form with polychrome salvage wrap grip below impressed KIBBE name. Kibbe started in the 1920’s and worked until 1942. He was a good friend of Fred Bear and provided Bear with the wood stave from which Bear made his first bow. This bow is nearly identical to the legendary longbows of Medieval England. As none of those exist in private hands, this would make a fine stand in for a display or collection.
