11th century, Cambridgeshire England. Over size 8 ½, nearly 8 ¾. Bronze, with a rounded face and of broad 3.0mm width, hand cut to a continuous roped or spiral surface. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword. Surface quite crisp as shown. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity. Good wearable size.
