Fine large example in good preservation. Likely wrapped in cloth for burial which limited atmospheric contact. 11 1/4" in length with a 7 1/4" blade of characteristic down back, curved clipped point and near straight edge. The left side with broad and narrow fullers.. Tapered "whittle tang" originally set into a bone, antler, or wood grip. Excavated with considerable original surface preserved intact. This is the classic fighting knife used in hand-to-hand fighting for throat slashing.åÊ
