FINE VIKING IRON FLINT STRIKER 9TH-10TH CENTURY AD

$285.00

Fine example combining artistry with function. Forged iron, 2 1/8” (2.17”) length with elegant striker bar formed as a ship. The bow end with a pick to anchor it on a rock or wood surface for striking. The back with forged triple circles. Each side with a curved line punctuating the curve of the hull with waves above. The bow tapered forming a wedge which could split splinters for kindling the flame from a spark. Excellent for the period.
