Good old precolonial example with 8 3/4” well forged and finished blade. Shaped wood hilt with silver mounts including engraved pommel crest and base mount with 9karat gold (?) diamond Silver scabbard, the face beautifully decorated in relief, engraved and mounted with five “gold” appliques. Reverse with chiseled decoration and the curve with separate feather motif silver crest. Great age character and dating to the 19th century before colonial ambitions. Honest fighting example.
