Late 18th-early 19th century. Elegant form with fine 29 ¼” curved T-back blade with raised false edge and narrowing slightly in the middle. Active whorl motif pattern (clear throughout) welded watered steel. Single superficial edge nick. The hilt with faceted horn grip scales, a Bass tang band, and an elegant brass guard with chain motif borders. The kilij in its finest form is sometimes called a pala.
