FINE MOROCCAN JAMBIYA

Vintage to antique example of superior quality. 9 ½” blade of characteristic short and long edges with stepped forte. The blade well finished and polished rather than tool finished as usually encountered. Shaped wood hilt with large boxed pommel with silver front and brass back and edges, engraved throughout. Engraved brass scabbard overlaid in silver panels. One suspension ring lacking, easily replaced. Excellent with residue of old polish in the relief work. Large and about as nice as these come.
