This example is probably Frankish as the Franks were the primary defenders and the blade is of the Frankish (scramseax) form. 9 5/8” length with 6 ½” wedge section slashing blade. Scale grips (absent) stopped with angled banded brass shoulders. Excellent profile, professionally conserved with the certification of authenticity. Plexiglas display easel included.
