FINE KNIGHTS TEMPLAR SWORD, C. 1925-30

28" blade finely decorated 3/4 length with Crusades scenes and motifs, crusaders. Holy Land, and owner's name, Memento Mori (skull and crossed bones) on faded gold background. Forte marked The Lilley Co, Columbus Ohio. That name used only 1925-30 after which it was the Lilley Ames Co. Heavily gilt hilt with enameled deltas to the cross guard. Ivory grip inscribed with Masonic motifs and monogram (smooth wear from use). Gilt scabbard with deep relief enameled mounts matching the hilt and owner’s name repeated. Premium quality and excellent preservation with the gold brilliant.
