Hellenistic Period (after the death of Alexander the Great). The death of Alexander resulted in fragmentation and civil war, resulting in a number of separate city-states. Just over 5/8” length plus the suspension loop. Conical socket with triple cutting veins. Usually lost on the battlefield and not often found in such good preservation. Excellent trilobate form. Professionally refurbished with a silver overlay and mounted on a modern Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
