9th-7th century BC. 9" diameter with flared flat lip pierced with two holes for hanging when not in use. Wheel turned with slightly concave bottom. The well with brown slip circles. The upper portion with red slip overlay The rim with brown slip hound's tooth band enclosing circles. The underside fully decorated to match. Colors particularly bright and near perfect condition for the period. Cypriot pottery was sold and used throughout the Mediterranean. Museum quality and condition from our own collection formed from the London auctions in the 1980's.
